Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass…

Keep walking, though there’s no place to get to.
Don’t try to see through the distance.
That’s not for human beings. Move within…

Pray the prayer that is the essence

forgotten. New creatures whirl in

from nonexistence, galaxies scattered
around their feet. Have you met them?

No matter how fast you run,
your shadow more than keeps up.
Sometimes, it’s in front!
