The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

So give me something to sing about!

…I live in hell
‘Cause I’ve been expelled
From heaven
I think I was in heaven

So give me something to sing about!
Give me something!

Life’s not a song
Life isn’t bliss
Life is just this
It’s living
You’ll get along
The pain that you feel
You only can heal
By living
You have to go on living
So one of us is living

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Buffy, the Musical

“Once More With Feeling” is the also known as the “Buffy” musical. Actually, it’s the seventh episode of the sixth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003.) It’s 110% over the top hyperbole. Absolutely delightful, if you’re into that sort of thing. Me? I love a little campy rock opera with my vampires.

How does “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” get to be musical? According to the episode synopsis, “In this musical extravaganza, people throughout Sunnydale find themselves bursting into song — and flame — when a demon summoned from beyond attempts to make Dawn his bride.”
