The timeless in you is aware of life’s timelessness

moving water

Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch

You would measure time the measureless and the immeasurable.

You would adjust your conduct and even direct the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons.

Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch its flowing.

Yet the timeless in you is aware of life’s timelessness

Change

I spent hours today writing about change. I’m not satisfied with what I wrote, so I’m posting this quote instead. I’d forgotten that this excerpt is about a perspective on change, “(directing) the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons.”

Right about when I faced up to needing to post this instead of what I was working on, I noticed a historical event in a news feed: “Algeria has officially lifted its 19-year-old state of emergency.”

Algeria has been screwed for a long time – enslaved, dominated, colonized, the people disenfranchised one way or another for hundreds of years. They haven’t had a stable civil society of their own in generations.

God only knows what they will do next… and here in the US we think we have problems! There is no measurement for paradigm shift, until it’s well under way.

I wish them peace of mind, in which to embrace their timelessness, their strength and freedom.
